Biography of Tajh Boyd

Tajh was born on September 25, 1990. He began his freshman year in 2005 at Landstown, but graduated from Phoebus High School in Hampton, Virginia before continuing his studies at Clemson University, South Calorina, where he played college football. At Clemson Tigers, he was the starting quarterback from 2011 to 2013.

He was outstanding in Clemson University football. He finished his college football career with school records and conference records for passing yards with 11,904 and touchdowns with 107, and is currently the all-time leader in both categories.

University career

Tajh was redshirted for the 2009 season and returning the following year he became the backup quarterback. He finished the season with 33 of 63 passes for 329 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions.

The following season saw him take over starting and led his team to a 10–4 record, winning the ACC Championship in the process. 2011 could be considered a successful year for him. The season ended with 298 passes for 499 for 3,828 yards and 33 touchdowns. Along with rushing for 218 yards and five touchdowns, Tajh was also mentioned as a possible candidate for the Heisman Trophy in 2012.

Subsequent seasons have become more successful than their former one. In 2012, he broke the ACC record for most touchdowns in a game. He threw five touchdown passes, ran three more, had eight touchdowns and racked up 529 yards for all intents and purposes. He was named Most Valuable Player of the 2012 Chick-fill-A Bowl game against the LSU Tigers. Tajh was named ACC Player of the Year and All-USA First Team after the season.

In his senior year, he defined the ACC career by passing a record touchdown on November 14, 2013. He finished his college career by coaching the Clemson Tigers to a 40-35 victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 2014 Orange Bowl. His Bowl performance set an Orange Bowl record for most rushing yards in a game. Tajh completed 31 of 40 passes for 378 yards and five passing passes, as well as 127 rushing yards and a touchdown.
