Joseph “Joe” George Beasley, you modeled a spirit of integrity, tenacity, vigilance and sincerity. Whether you were sharpening someone with a quick debate, or providing humor, placing a smile on someone’s face, you stood as a man. You displayed the essence of celebrating family & community. You provided amazing insights on the Hampton Roads region’s sport’s history. Gratitude for your encouragement and support throughout my journey at Norfolk State University.

This one was hard, man. ‘Currently out of state for postgraduate work…I received the news of your passing …from our impeccable barber this week. Thank you for introducing me to him. Mr. Beasley, you were skilled in making meaningful connections!

You will forever be a beaming light of love. You displayed strength in your humility. Sending healing and peace to all whom your spirit has reached. Love you man.
