Aaron Carter opened up about his mental health diagnosis, saying that he has ‘nothing to hide’ when it comes to his fans. While on The Doctors, the singer got candid about what he is dealing with as well as the treatment.
‘The official diagnosis is that I suffer from multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety; I’m manic depressive. I am prescribed Xanax, Seroquel, Gabapentin, Hydroxyzine, Trazodone and Omeprazole,’ he says in an emotional video part of the show episode he was a guest on.
Arron also showed how much meds he needs to take, holding up a pretty large bag filled with pill bottles.
‘This is my reality. Hi, I have nothing to hide,’ the singer adds, making it very clear that his health state is not something he is ashamed of.
This is not the first time the pop star stopped by The Doctors.
Back in 2017, he was tested for consumption of cocaine and meth and the results were negative.
However Dr. Stork stressed that the combination of drugs he did test positive for was not safe either.
‘THC aka marijuana was positive. Benzodiazepines, Xanax for example…positive, it was positive for opiates, hydrocodone as well. What scares me about this drug panel is that your sister perished from a drug overdose. You have a mixture of benzodiazepines and opiates, which is how many people can accidentally die. These medications – and I am speaking purely from the doctor’s perspective now – can be very, very scary,’ he told the singer at the time.
Carter admitted he was also worried over his health due to the fact that people would tell him all the time that he looks like he suffers from AIDS or cancer or that he’s dying.
A few months after that appearance on the show, he checked into a mental facility to get help.

Nowadays, he is doing much better, it seems.
